Is it household information i.e., free white males over 16, free white males under 16, and free white females? Also, does anyone know where Tyborn Twp. is/was? Trevor

    1. [PACUMBER] County Burial Stubs/License
    2. Donna Heller Zinn
    3. Hello Fellow Listers: Did all Counties/States require that a license ["stub"] be obtained to dig a grave. I do know that there are very small, old stubs in Lewistown, Mifflin Co. as well as I've recently seen a posting on one of the counties in Ohio stating the same. If this was a requirement for all burials in these counties, between what years were they required and where are they housed as now???? Thanks for any help! 1. Re: [PACUMBER] Jacob Bowman or Why didn't they have Social Security Numbers
    2. Amy Munroe
    3. There is tons of Bowman research and information on the Shenandoah Co., VA website and at the Handley library. Many of the Swiss and Germans migrated from Cumberland and Berks Co to Shenandoah Co.during Dunmore's War, and to buy land from Lord Fairax, around 1760's through 1800's. Many records still intact (and transcribed.) This was a common migration route.
