Hi Donna, would you look up Harvey Barnhart. Thanks.
Hello Fellow Listers: I have a copy of the Farmers' Directory of Cumberland County 1914-1915 [by The Farm Journal Illustrated] - anyone like a look-up? This book tells if the head of household was a subscriber to the magazine/publication, The Farm Journal Illustrated; occupation; wife's name; how many children; how many acres owned; how many horses; how many cows; where lived. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the road directory/map for this book? There are numbers behind some of the entries which tell you the road that they lived on - but my book doesn't have a map. Thanks! Donna HELLER ZINN of Newville, Cumberland Co., PA.
For Sue Munday- In Swaim's book, "Over the River," there is a Willoughby Winchester listed in the Greencastle Neighborhood of Franklin County, PA. Book can be purchased at the Historical Societies of both Newville and Carlisle, or through the Wm. Swaim Historical Trust (contact LtcMax17@aol.com). This book lists the first pioneers to settle in the Cumberland Valley in 1733-36.
Thanks Donna, Would you look for Ard George.
