    1. [PACUMBER] Roll Call-- BINTNER
    2. Coleen
    3. Hello, I have had a terrible time trying to find information on the first wife of Ezra GOODYEAR. On the death certificate of their daughter, it indicated the mother's maiden name was BINTNER, but it was followed by a question mark. Other resources show the name to be DAY, but in either case, the first name was Ellen. My records show that she was born in 1848, and one of her daughters--Mary Kathryn, my gg grandmother--was born on April 27, 1868 in Dillsburg, PA. There were two additional children born in this marriage--Minnie and John b. 1865. I wonder if this listing on ancestry.com would prove to be Ellen's father. This is the only listing for Samuel. BINTNER, SAMUEL State: PA Year: 1830 County: Cumberland County Record Type: Federal Population Schedule Township: Silversprings Page: 095 Database: PA 1830 Federal Census Index I know I may be rambling, but I am hoping someone on the list may also be researching this family and know more than what I know or can point me in the right direction for further research. Any and all help is appreciated. Coleen

    3. I am trying to trace (backwards) my Jacob Cline. He was b. in Richland Co., OH in 1823. There are a number of Clines from PA that ended up in Richland Co. My problem is I don't know which ones are his parents. Also there are a number of Cline's from NY that ended up in PA and one I know of in Richland Co., OH. Do you know anything about the above.? 3. I was delighted to see that you are researching the Highlands and Peebles surnames in Cumberland County. Hopefully you can help me learn more about my great grand mother Elizabeth Highlands (1861-1839) who was the wife of Milton Huber Brandt and the daughter of Alexander Peebles Highlands and Margaret Slough. I believe that she was the grand daughter of William Highlands and Elizabeth Peebles. All of the above were in South Hampton Township or Shippensburg. Does any of this match with your Family Tree? 3. Hello again Donna It has been a while since we have commucicated. I was wondering if you have any more info on your James Young that might give me clue as to the family of my Samuel Young. My Sam was born in Cumberland co in 1762 and moved out at a young age. Since he named his oldest son James and both of his known sons named their oldest sons James I am nterested in any James Young in the area during that period of time. A bit of trivia that you might be interested or might comment on: The Capt Samuel Young that was in the Northumberland co militia had brothers James and John. Thanks J. 3. With previous e-mail - also look for Sharnack in the same book. Crawford's same book. Do you have Crago's in your line? Is your Dotson's always been Dotson's? Could they be Dyson's. Surnames: Hedden, Bender, Quackenbush, Brower, Bogardus Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JaB.2ACE/2812.1 Message Board Post: I just found your post. I have the Ann Eliza Clark genealogy of Annetje Jans-Bogardus. One of her descendants was Mary Bender, who married Jedediah Hedden. Mary Bender's parents, according to Ms. Clark, were John and Sarah Bender; the parents of John Bender were Jacob and Maria (Quackenbush) Bender; the parents of Maria Quackenbush were Jacob and Anna Elizabeth (Brower) Quackenbush; the parents of Anna Elizabeth Brower, Jacob and Annete (Borgardus) Brower. As for Jedediah, everyone seems to believe that his father was Thomas II and his grandfather was Thomas I, but no documentation is on hand as far as I know.
