Hello, I'm Bill Massey in Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Lewisburg/Marshall County, Tennessee. Many of your colateral ancestors chose to move to my home county of Marshall including the EWINGS, LEEPERS, DYSARTS, and CUMMINGS. I would really love to hear from you, especially relatives of James Ewing (1737?-1789) who married Jane (or Jean) Leeper (1745?-?) around 1764 in Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, possibly in West Pennsborough Township. It is my understanding that they worshipped at Big Spring Presbyterian Church in Newville. Jane's parents were "Old" Allen Leeper and Elizabeth Cummings from Ireland. I have no idea who James' parents were or where they were from. Possibly Scots-Irish? Again, it would mean a lot to me to communicate with my distant cousins. May I also take this opportunity to answer the roll call. Thank you so much. Sincerely, William R. (Bill) Massey

Ray- I am working on that now. I know that my John Dougherty (from the Dillsburg area of York Co.) was born in 1772, and is the son of John. I've found both a John and George Dougherty who served regiments, but haven't been able to make a connection. But John, Jr. had a brother George and a son George, so I am hoping to find a link! Suzie

Just a note for the Peebles researchers-- My g grandmother's autograph album was signed by Anna Peebles, Newburg, Cumberland Co. It would have been the very late 1870s or early 1880s. My ggrandmother was Jane "Alice" (Allie) Kline. She had also attended the Cumberland Valley Normal School (now Shippensburg U) and many signed who also attended the school. Suzie
