    3. Hi Jack, We are in Utah over holidays to visit with relatives, be here for birth of new grand daughter and visit Salt Lake FHL. I did make it there last Friday and ran across a couple things that I thought might be of interest to you, but as I didn't bring all my things with me, I need a reminder of your Sharp connection. Thanks. 3. Hi Linda, Just a quick note. I have Carnahan cousins, our grandparents are siblings; and they have shared a lot of their info with me. Secondly, in mid 1700s one of my Sharps md Moses Hemphill who had a child that md a Jack. We are visiting relatives, while waiting for birth of new grand daughter and so things are a bit off schedule. I'll try to get back in a couple of days, but don't be shy about reminding me to share info. All for now. 1. Re: [PACUMBER] Please CAPITALIZE SURNAMES
    2. Naomi Long Hopperstad
    3. You are absolutely right, Tony! I caught my oversight myself, just as soon as I saw my message come through on the list this morning! By neglecting to change the Subject heading, I broke my own rule! The fact that I am distracted (out of my mind!) by all I have to do to get ready to move back to Lincoln, NE from the boonies of north central Indiana (at age 73) REALLY is no excuse. I was in a rush and I was careless. But it has been my experience that many list administrators will admonish their members to PLEASE put your surname(s) in the Subject and CAPITALIZING SURNAMES throughout the message is the accepted and most efficient way to go. I apologize to those who are offended by my failure to adhere to my own preaching. It certainly was a lapse! I won't repeat myself, other than to say that long lists of messages headed only with "Roll Call" in the Subject are particularly frustrating ... to me, at least. As for plowing through census returns on a microfilm reader, yes, I too have spent many hours doing that (wearing a cervical collar, which I also have to wear while at my computer, because of a pinched nerve where my cervical spine is collapsing down on itself) -- BECAUSE there is no help for it. It HAS to be done that way. Capitalizing surnames, both in the Subject AND throughout the message is a way we all can help ourselves and each other. 3. Tony The burials where taken to Mt Zion Cemetery at Rt. 74 and 174. outside of Churchtown. There is a number of both families buried there. Part of the cemetery records are on the Cumberland Co site. I have a particle list of up to about 1950. I could check the listing I having if you would like. Her cousin was Margaretta Shoop of Highspire, and I think Ellenmae was also her cousin. There is a lot of Tyson ancestory and can easily be traced to Germany in the early 1600's. Let me know if you want any more info, or if you know anything about a Brunhouse line in Steelton. I think they all knew each other, but I am having trouble finding the Brunhouse's. Good luck.
