    1. [PACUMBER] Locating married couple 1809 along the Susquehanna
    2. Houston
    3. >From the records at Zion Lutheran Church in Harrisburg there is listed for the year 1809 the marriage of Friederich Franck and Catharina Mayern, May 23. There were two other marriages two days later and my hope is that someone on the list has a location or town for any of the following: Ludwig Zarhring (Zearing) and Betzi Popp, May 25 Phillip Schafer and Suzanne Vieman, May 25 Also Michael Viehle and Elisabeth Conrad, on May 14 These marriages were performed by Johann Dietrich Petersen, most of his travels seem to have taken him from Harrisburg up both sides of the Susquehanna River. Thank you for any clues you can offer, Marcia Fronk

    3. Lorena S. Eaker in 1999 posted on Genealogy.com the following: To find your Kinder origins see the book "German Speaking People West of The Catawba River In NC 1750-1800" which can be found in most major Library collections across US and in most Libraries in SE MO. If not in your locality Email for more information to: sckpub@eudoramail.com ....The name was originally spelled Gunder/Gunther in German. This book also has information on Linebergers, Kastners/Costners, Crites, Snider and other surnames with which the family intermarried. Kastner information from Europe into PA & NC. The father of the Kinder Clan was Conrad b.ca1735 and married Maria Ursula Kastner 22 Aug 1758, York Co., PA, dau of George Adam and Anna Maria Kraus Kastner of Edenkoben, Germany We have Kinder, Conrad State : PA County : York Co. Location : Manchester Twp Year : 1810 Page # : 162 2 1 00 1 //0 0 1 3 1 the male 16-18 block is not included I suppose this is the Conrad Lorena mentioned - I have Elizabeth Kinder marrying George Meder(later Mater)in the Lutheran Church of Carlisle, Cumberland County. There doesn't seem to be room for her in this 1810 census - but I ask: Did Conrad have a daughter named Elizabeth born 1795 or 1796? regards Hal

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JaB.2ACE/1006.1043.1.1 Message Board Post: I have lots of information on Samuel & Annis Watson Perry and their children and descendants and would be happy to share it with you. There is quite a bit of confusion and incorrect information circulating about the children and the descendants of Samuel & Annis. For example, their son, John Perry did not marry a Penelope and move to LA. He married Violette Moore in PA and later moved to Washington Co., MO. Also, another son, James Perry, did not marry a Mary Harper. He married Hannah Irwin, a cousin of Violette Moore, in PA and later moved to Zanesville, Muskingum Co., OH. His mother, Annis Watson Perry, moved to Zanesville and lived with them and died there and is buried there.

However, I don't believe they are the family for which you are seeking information. James Perry, son of Samuel & Annis Watson Perry, did not marry a Mary Harper. He married Hannah Irwin in Pa. and later moved with her and their children to Zanesville, Muskingcum Co., Ohio. Hannah died there in 1810 and James died in 1822. James' mother, Annis Watson Perry, later moved to Zanesville and lived with them and died there, too. They are all buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Muskingum County.

    1. Re: [PACUMBER] Re: Null's in Cumberland Cty
    2. Linda: Here is the info I found in the cemetery records today. Please forward it on to the Cumberland County list. NULL Robert Null, Section C, Lot 78. One ledger book shows a date of 5 July 1895 (either death, burial, or purchase date), then $3 paid by Mary J Johnson. There is no stone marking this grave. Mrs. Null (no given name), Section D, Lot 75. No birth or death dates. Residence: Mechanicsburg. Cause of Death: "Infant" Perhaps this was a very young child or infant of a Mrs. Null. In the old ledger books we are reviewing now, we have found children as old as 7 years referred to as "infant," but the fact that there were no birth or death dates in the ledger makes me think this might be a stillborn. There is no stone marking this grave. COOVER/COVER There were numerous Coover's, but no Elizabeth or John. I did not write them down. I believe most are online. There were two Cover's as follows: Elizabeth T Cover, Section B, Lot 53, Grave 2. 1891-1969 Buried 24 June 1969. Age 77. Myers Funeral Home. Elwood A Cover, Section B, Lot 53, Grave 1. 1893-1957 Buried 31 Aug 1957. Age 64. Myers Funeral Home. Lot owner for both was Milton Seifert. These were online as well, but not the funeral home info. There could have been even more siblings. Elizabeth Webb married Nathan Highberger and lived in Sharpsburg, MD. Joseph Webb was a dentist in Frederick, MD and later in Baltimore. Martha Webb never married but lived with her sister Mary Jane and husband William Walsh in Frederick, MD. Ring a bell with anyone?
