    1. Will of James Armstrong, 1796
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Armstrong, McCabe Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JaB.2ACE/3496 Message Board Post: In a message on the Cumberland County PA board dated March 4, 1998, a reference is made to James Armstrong who had five daughters and who had a will dated 1796. I presume that this is a will in Cumberland County. Does any reader have a list of the daughters from this will, or otherwise know the names of his daughters and whom they married? I am interersted in finding out if he had two daughters, Sarah and Ann, who married two brothers, John and Robert McCabe ca 1770's. Please let me know by reply to this message board, or directly to [email protected]

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JaB.2ACE/3469.1 Message Board Post: I am curious about your Patrick Duffield if you are willing to share some information on him. I have a George McCord/Cord/Coard in Kinsman, OH & Mercer Co., PA from 1800 to 1840. My GGgrandmother was Mariah S. McCord born in Kinsman, OH, she married Samuel C. Rook of Youngstown, Mahoning Co., OH, and her obituary states her parents were George & Margaruite McCord. Margaret/Margaruite McCord filed for Bounty Land. It mentions no children, but does tell her maiden name and when George McCord died. George served in the War of 1812 and was in the Indian Wars. I do have some conflicting information on George McCord, that I would like to clear up. I am aware of the Will of James Coard of Cumberland Co., but I have never seen it, that mentions the children of James Coard. Estimating George McCord's birthdate from census, would put him at the age of a child for James Coard.

    3. Hi, Susan: I just checked the census material for Upper Allen Twp. for 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930; unfortunately, they are not showing street names and house numbers. The only other possibility that I can think of is checking property or deed records. Good luck with your search!
