    1. Cumberland County visit
    2. Graham - Carlisle is the place to visit for your research. The courthouse is in Carlisle but many of their old records have been placed in the Cumberland County Historical Society. You could also check the Newville Historical Society for West Pennsborough records. There is a hotel and motel in Carlisle, and dozens of motels within five miles. About every three weeks, Carlisle Productions has various auto shows at the fairgrounds, and some shows draw more than 100,000 visitors. Try to avoid these weekend shows or you will not find any lodging. Go to GOOGLE (Carlisle Productions) for the auto schedule. As to churches, the first 6 or 8 Presbyterian churches were established in the valley between 1738 and 1745 and they are still active congregations. Middle Spring and Big Spring Presbyterian were first and they both have old records.
