Good Afternoon Fellow Listers: I've also done some research on the NEAL/NEIL Families in the Cumberland Co. area. I've been trying to find the NEIL Graveyard/Cemetery. It's been a while since I've worked on these families so I'm only goin' on memory [which sometimes doesn't work that well]. So please forgive me if I don't have the info just right. I found that a Tibertus WILKINSON was married to a Sarah SHULTZ. They lived at one time, in and around the "Sandbanks" near Mt. Holly Springs. Tibertus died in the Cumberland Co. Home and is to be buried in Mt. Holly Springs. I believe it was one of their daughters that married into the NEIL family. I found on a Death Register at the Cumberland Co. Court House that [I think it was] one of the WILKINSON babies are buried in the Neil Graveyard/cemetery. Is any of this familiar? If you put "great valley" +pa into a google search, you will find many references about the Great Valley area. Most are for current day - High School, Churches, Hotels in the area surrounding Malvern, Chester County, PA. Even the Great Valley School District is in Malvern, PA. Putting "great valley, pa" into a google search also refers you back to places around Malvern. There was a Henry Deal on tax lists of 1800 and 1803 for Hopewell Twp. You might consider him. A Paul Deal (maybe mine) is found Bedford Co, Hopewell and Woodberry Twp c 1800: Paul Deal 1-0-0-1-0; 1-0-1-0-0. Check out the tax lists, maybe you will find him near Laughlins. I figure this is as good a time as any to throw my own Diehl search out there. My John Diehl, a farmer, died of dysentary at Hopewell, Cumberland County, in 1854 at age 45. He and his wife, the former Jane Laughlin, are buried at Hanna's Cemetery in that township. Has anyone a good lead on which of the many John Diehls this might be? I have no clue on his parentage. They were the parents of nine children, the third, Ann Catherine Diehl, becoming my great-great-grandmother after her marriage to James McCullough in 1854. Many thanks, Brian McCullough
If you look on a Pa map for the intersection of U S 30 and PA 29, the area north of that is known as "Great Valley". I think ? it refers to the Perkiomen Creek. I don't think there is a specific place called Great Valley.
