MCDILL - MALONEY - MCCANDLESS - NORTHROP - GLEEN I am trying to find the maiden name of Anna MCDILL who was married to Hugh MCDILL. Anna was born in 1792 and died in 1875. She is buried with her husband in Black Ash Cemetery, Crawford Co., PA. Hugh and Anna had 10 children. John 1808-1886, Mary 1810-1888, Hugh 1812-1888 m. Mary Ann GLENN, Anna 1815-1877 m. John MCCANDLESS, James 1818-1894 m. Elizabeth Jane NORTHROP, Elizabeth 1821-1859, William 1824-1858, Lucetta 1827-1836, Nancy 1831-1836 and Harvey 1833-1836. At one time it was believed that Anna might have been the daughter of Daniel MALONEY who was a native of Ireland. He came to Crawford Co. in 1797 from Westmoreland County. His grandson Hiram A. MALONEY and son James MALONEY are mentioned in Biographical Sketches - Conneaut Township. James was a farmer in Mead Township all his life. Could James have been Anna's brother?
