Hi there , have been on the list a while and although I have not learned much about my Morris group I have learned that Clarion County is close by and that everyone moved around...therefore I have this lengthy post that may help some..I know some of these folks were in Meadvi;lle from other letters''' October 16 ,1998 Alsbaugh Family and More: I found this information in some old note books probably written by my great Aunt Della Mae Morris (also known as Vanessa), or by my grandmother Zeta Laurine Morris Necco (Nicco). In all instances the letters are written to or referring to Amelia Vandalia Alsbaugh Morris my great grandmother Letters to her from my great grandfather , John Benson Morris, are adressed to Della. As you are all aware the 1800 to early 1900 folks changed their names around and this often makes them hard to track. I have not validated any of this as I really have not worked on the line. I am posting it since there are quite a few names and we all might benefit from having it viewable. Possibly we will all make some connections. Barbara Ann Long born May 14 , 1824.was married about 1845 to J. H. Alsbaugh: died Oct.22 1863. I hope this helps someone.. Please be aware that I guarantee nothing....I have tried to translate the flowery writing as well as possible . If you are looking for a similar name please contact me and I will have another look . Also if you need help about the Morris clan after 1805 I know all about almost every sibling..These Morris were of Hiram Morris in Meadville , Fairfield also I have quite a bit on the Gorton family.
