Conneautville Courier 15 July 1942 Charles C. Herring of Linesville died at Spencer Hospital, Thursday morning. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Schambach and Miss Ada Herring, both of Pittsburgh. Services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Phillips R. C. Church, Linesville. Henry Eber Halfast, well known and highly regarded resident of Edinboro, R.F.D., died at his home on the Irish Road, Thursday, 18 June 1942. Prayer services were held at the B. C. Kiehl funeral home, Edinboro, Monday at 1:30 p.m., with funeral services at the Drakes Mills Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Drakes Mills cemetery. Mr. Halfast is survived by his only sister, Mrs. Lena Slayton and nephew, Osmond Slayton of Conneautville, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Warren J. Hotchkiss, 67, wife of Warren J. Hotchkiss, died at her home in Summit Township on Tuesday. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Bryan of Piteaten, PA; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Rankin of New Castle, a half-brother Rolla Beers, Albion; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
