    3. Mr. Reuben H. Slayton, a brother of Geo. W. Slayton, Mrs. L. R. Klumph, and Mrs. J. J. Lints, of this palce, a former resident of Conneaut township died at Amboy, OH on Saturday. He had been ailing for several months, yet his death was unexpected. The remains were brought here on Sunday and buried in our cemetery. Mr. Slayton and wife were absent visiting friends in the vicinty of Erie, and it was impossible to get word to them in time to admit of their being present at the funeral. Does anyone have any information about their father, George Washington Slayton? Above from Courier & record, 28 July 1882 as well as below: At the residence of her son, Christopher Lynch in Conneaut township, 24 July 1882 of old age, Mrs. Lynch aged about 85 years. In Bedford, IA 15 Jul 1882, Mrs. E. Emma, wife of S. S. Orton and daughter of A. M. & A. E. Greenlee, formerly of Spring township, aged 21 years and 3 months. In E. Springfield, 21 Jul 1882 of disease of the stomach, Hattie, only daughter of the alte Jonathan Morrell, aged 17 years. In Randolph township, 11 Jul 1882 of dropsy, George Marc, aged 75 years. At the residence of his son, G. R. Slayton in Amboy, OH 22 Jul 1882 of heart disease, Reuben H. Slayton formerly of Conneaut township, aged 66 years, 3 months, 21 days. At the residence of the bride's parents, 20 July 1882, Rev. Wilbur G. Warner of Espyville and M. Emily Wick. In Jamestown, 20 Jul 1882, Harry Truesdale, formerly of Conneautville and Cor Curtiss all of Jamestown, PA At Saegertown, 4 Jul 1882, F. Fox of Meadville and Sadie E. Stronse(?) of Woodcock. >From Courier & Record 14 Apr 1882: James Thompson, one of the oldest residents, died on Saturday, after a short illness of pneumonia. He was able to visit Meadville only a week before his death.
