Thanks to Ernie and Vicki Casbohm, I'm indexing a box of newspaper clippings on births, marriages, and deaths in the late 1890's. Irish, Lawrence, and Sensebaugh surnames show up more than once. If you can accept a Microsoft Works attachment (22 pages), will be willing to send the file of the obits to anyone interested. Keep in mind, these obits are mostly from folks in Conneautville, Springboro, Spring township, Summerhill township, and Beaver Center with some from Conneaut township. Surnames include: Irish, Barton, Allen, Billings, Belknap, Bowman, Boyle, Brayman, Church, Clancy, Darby, Dewolf, Eckelberger, Everdon, Foster, Hewit, Higley, Hornaman, Irons, Johnston, Lawrence, Leech, Manser, McGuire, Meyler, Miller, Montague, Munger, Peck, Penfield, Pettit/Pettie, Reynolds, Rudler, Rupert, Seeley, Squires, Stewart, Taylor, Thompson, Truesdale, Vickers, White, Brooks In the meantime, the following was interesting (to someone): Mrs. Caroline Braden, her son, Omer, and Mrs. Adaline Rick, of Herkimer Co., NY are visiting at the home of Mr. W. G. Schermerborn in Conneaut Township. The ladies are sisters of Mr. Schermerhorn and both are widows. This is Mrs. Rick's first visit here, while her sister was here for a visit about six years ago. Mr. Schermerhorn is 84 years old, Mrs. Braden 82 and Mrs. Rick 80. The latter was taken very sick with stomach trouble soon after her arrival, but she is now improving and out of danger. They are having a happy reunion. NOTE: Sorry but I don't have the time right now to do lookups. -- ********************************* Patricia Butterfield Vedner R.
