Second installment . . . The second line of Bollards to come out of Crawford County, Pennsylvania began with: David ___ Bollard (1829-1907) was born on 12-23-1829 in __________, England. He came to the U.S. at age 20, a farmer by day and a shoemaker by night. He settled in Conneaut Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania in 1850. He married Hannah Jane Groves (1841-1890) on ___- ___-1854 in __________. She was born on 2-___-1841 in __________, the daughter of __________ and __________. They had seven children, (1) Lydia Marie Bollard (___-___), (2) Lewis Grove (probably Groves) Bollard (1859-1917), (3) Charles F__ Bollard (1862-1927), (4) Winchester D__ Bollard (1865-1873), (5) Mary J__ Bollard (___-___), (6) Minnie ___ Bollard (___-___) and (7) Frank D___ Bollard (1874-1917). Hannah died on 7-29-1890 (at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 28 days) in __________ and was buried in the Conneaut Center Cemetery with her son, Winchester, who had died in 1873. David died on 7-23-1907 in __________ and was buried in the Conneaut Center Cemetery with his wife and son. I have a theory that David Bollard was the son of one of the brothers of John H__ Bollard, but it is only a theory. The person I have the most information on is #2, Lewis Grove Bollard who married Lillian Martha Crockett. Their story is as follows: Lewis Grove ("Groves"?) Bollard (1859-1917) was born on ___-___-1859 in __________. He married Lillian Martha Crockett (1864-1946) on 11-5-1882 in Penn Line, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. She was born on 4-4-1864 in Conneaut Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William B__ Crockett (1841-1898) and Susan Augusta (Norris) Crockett (1845- 1878). They had 5 children, (1) William David Bollard (1883-1944), (2) Clarence Band Bollard (1885-1960), (3) Riley Lewis Bollard (1887-1968), (4) Velma Augusta Bollard (1897-1985) and (5) Myron Crockett Bollard (1905-1989). He was a prosperous farmer. Lewis died on 8-27-1917 (at the age of 58) in __________, Pennsylvania and was buried on 8-29 in the Linesville Cemetery. Lillian died on 4-11-1946 in Linesville (at the home of her son, Myron) and was buried on 4-13 with her husband. Don't get me wrong, I do have information on the other 6 siblings of Lewis. Again, the surnames of the families who married into this branch of the Bollard family were: HERRICK, CROCKETT, MANNING, OWENS, GEHR, HUTCHISON, CARLSON, LADNER, FLOWERS, GILLILAND, HORTON, SCHAUB, HUEY, STOKELY, ROBERTSON, RAGER, PUCKETT, HENRY, WILFRED, LOOMIS, ROBERTSON, STORLL AND HERBOLD.
