The following came from the Daily Messenger, 31 May 1905: Mrs. B. A. Affantranger has received word of the death of her brother, G. W. Cole, which occurred at Mead, KS on Friday. The funeral will take place at his old home in Whitehall, IL. Mr. Cole was born and raised in Meadville and his many friends here will regret to learn of his death. He was 72 years of age. Mrs. Adah McKay Straw, wife of Robert C. Straw, died at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. H. L. McKay. The following came from the Meadville Tribune, 14 Feb 1956: John G. Smith, former Meadville resident, died Friday at Daytona Beach, FL, where he made his home. He had been associated with his father, George A. Smith, in the George Smith & Son Nash Motor Sales here but later moved to Daytona Beach where he was in the real estate business. Survivors include his widow, Eva, and his parents, who now reside at Erie. Buriean at Calvary Cemetery. Henry G. Snyder, 91, a natuve of Hayfield Township and a lay preacher of the Free Methodist Church, died Tuesday at a hospital in Butler. A son of the late Henry and Drucilla Lefever Snyder, he was born 16 Nov 1864. He was a frequent speaker in Meadville churches. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Tack; two sons, Ernest and Clarence, all of Butler, a brother Fred of Meadville. Burieal Butler. Charles E. Graham, 83 of R. D. 3 Cochranton died Wednesday evening at the Flickinger Convalescent Home. A retired farmer and a former employee of the Lafayette Hotel, he is survived by his widow, Mary; a son, Charles E. Graham, Jr. of Cochranton; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Figerell of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Prisilla Barclay of Chicago; a brother, William, of Pittsburgh. Buried Greendale Miss Mary Jane Imhoff.
