>From Tribune Republican 26 February 1930: Norrisville, 25 Feb. - Wilfred Carter, a life-long resident of Norrisville passed away at Spencer Hospital, recently. He had not been feling well for more than a week before going to the hospital. It was thought that he suffered a stroke while there. He was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry Carter, and will be musch missed in the neighborhool. Buried Denny Cemetery. (Again, would like more information about his mother's family.) Clark D. Eckels who died at Erie, last Saturday were held Tuesday. Among those who attended the services were several residents of Cambridge springs, where Mr. Eckels formerly held the position of postmaster and also engaged in newspaper work. Buried Oakland Cemetery at Warren, PA. >From Tribune Republican, 8 July 1930: Eliza J., widow of J. E. Shartle, died very suddenly at her home in Vernon township Sunday morning at the age of 75 years. Survived by one daughter, Mrs. May kineson of Vernon; two sons, Fred of Sharon & Carl, at home and five grandchildren. Member of Presbyterian Church of Harmonsburg. Buried Evergreen Cemetery. Jesse H. Lawrence aged 66 years died at his home in Gainesville, FL, Sunday, 29 June. Mr. Lawrence was one of the pioneers at Keystone Heights, FL where he went with his brother, the late L. J. Lawrence about 10 years ago and assisted in laying out the town. Born in Summerhill township and was a son of Mr. & Mrs. H. A. Lawrence, both deceased. His early married life was spent in Linesville, later moving to Silver Creek, NY then to Pittsburgh and finally FL. Surviving are his widow, and one daughter, Miss Helen J. Lawrence; also the following brothers and sisters: C. J. Lawrence of Pittsburgh, R. C. Lawrence of Dunkirk, NY; P. A. Lawrence of Farrell; J. A. Lawrence of N. Girard; W. A. Lawrence of Cranesville; Mrs. J. E. West of Pittsburgh; Mrs. E. E. Rose, Tuscon, AZ; Mrs. Elmer Lehman of Concordia, KA. Buried Linesville cemetery. Mrs. Nancy Jane Hutchison, aged 66 years passed away Sunday evening, 6 July at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forrest Carr, Girard township, Erie Co. Buried Lang-Swift Cemetery, Woodcock township. Services in memory of Milford G. Pratt were held Monday afternoon at the home in Richmond township. Buried Blooming Valley cemetery, six neighbors -- Linford P. Hayes, Robert Shorts, Larue Hanks, Herbert Beers, Bert Shorts, and George Wolf assisting as bearers. >From Tribune Republican 31 May 1905: Word was received Tuesday morning by Mrs. B. A. Affantranger of this city of the death of her brother, G. W. Cole, which occurred at Meade, KS on Friday 26 May. Mr. Cole was a former resident of Meadville and went West about 30 years ago. Information was received here Tuesday of the sudden death of George Grummel, which occurred at 3 p.m. Monday at his come in Conneaut, OH from apoplexy. He was as well as usual Monday morning and went to his work. The deceased was 37 years old and leaves a widow, his father, Charles Grummel of Woodcock; two brother and six sisters. The funeral of Mrs. Robert C. Straw will take place from the home of her parents, Mr. & mrs. H. L.
