My 3x's ggrandfather was Robert Glancy French (b. 1822--son of Robert French and Margaret Glancy, d. between 1900-1910.) I last located Robert G. French (age 78) living in Troy Township, Crawford County with his daughter, Nancy Jane Grove and son in law, Hugh Grove. I was writing to see if someone could help me with a death date and burial place for Robert G. French. Additional information: Robert G. French married Sarah M. Stratton (who died between 1880--the family was last found in the 1880 West Shenango Township census--and 1900. Any information on the death and burial of Sarah Stratton French would be appreciated, also.) I descend from Robert and Sarah's firstborn son, Thomas O. French (b. 1843 in Crawford County, d. 1939 in Nowata, OK.) Information I have tracked on Robert and Sarah French's daughters: Nancy Jane French married Hugh Grove and Mary Alena French (b. 1863, d. 1933, buried Greenlawn Cemetery, Townville) married John Grove. I believe that John and Hugh were brothers. Another Daughter, Grace Elizabeth French (Lizzie), married Marcus Bogardus, d. 1887 and is buried in Black Ash Cemetery.
