I am wondering if anyone can either verify or disclaim a story I was told just last night. A Crawford County pioneer found a large rock on French Creek just below Cambridge Springs. He built his cabin on said rock. When cold weather came his friendsand neighbors noticed they had not seen any of the family for a time, so they went to check on them. They found the entire family dead in the cabin. It seems the cabin was built on a den of rattle-snakes nested in the crevices of the rock, and that when it turned cold and the fireplace was lit the snakes came out. Urban legend? Beth in Ohio
