    3. Interested in obtaining Methodist records for area around Titusville,Pa. Are there any links for same? Interested in GREGORY FAMILY. Many, many thanks! trudy ny Trudy, Do you have any more specific information regarding the area and possibly the congregation? In general, Methodist (now United Methodist) church records are kept at the particular local church. Not all pastors kept good records, and many books have been lost or destroyed over the years, so it is hard to tell what might be available. If you know the particular congregation, or even a specific community, I might be able to point you to the pastor who could check for you. If the congregation was merged into another, its records should have been transferred to the new congregation, but no assurance that this happened. If a church closed, the district superintendent should have taken custody of the records, and they should have been deposited in the conference archives. But notice I said "should!" Give me some specifics, and I'll try to make some suggestions. I am a United Methodist pastor, and I grew up just a few miles from Titusville. I'll look forward to hearing from you. Ernie Tracy
