As some of you may know, the Crawford Co. Gen. Society is in process of publishing my transcription of Crawford Co. naturalizations, 1800 to 1906. We are hoping to be able to include photographs of at least some of those men who were naturalized here during that time period. We are asking anyone who would be interested in having a photo of an immigrant ancestor who became a citizen here in Crawford Co. included in the book to bring the photo to our work session on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the second of the public library, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. If you are interested in further information but cannot come to the meeting, you can contact me off-list at [email protected] We realize that the photos may not date from the time of naturalization, but that's okay. And, unfortunately, this is a men-only project, since women were rarely naturalized in the 19th century.
