Hello all, I have been reading with interest the discussion about the Library and the Genealogy folks and Historical Society. I was born and raised in Meadville and have a nephew still there. You must understand the Meadville "mentality" and I am not sure that is the correct word to use and I don't understand it well enough to put it in writing. But as I read all of this I chuckle and think "yup, that is Meadville." My feelings are that the College is on a "give and take," mostly take, relationship with the town and has been for many, many years. Charlie Anderson is President of the Chamber of Commerce and is truly civic minded from what I have known and seen about him. He also was born and raised there and his roots go back some generations. He may be the person to write to and put a bee in his bonnet. As in every town money talks and hopefully someone will make the appropriate folks wake up and smell the coffee.
