I'm beginning to receive replies. The Crawford County Commissioners' Office mailed me this reply: "Dear Ms. Barnes: We have received your letter of September 17 concerning the Crawford CCounty Historical Society. While the name is Crawford County, the historical society is not a county agency nor is the Crawford County Federated Library System under our jurisdiction. We have forwarded your letter to the two entities." Now the purpose of my letter was to bring the situation to their attention-and the revenue it would bring to the area, should the historical society stay up and running and what could happen if it doesn't. You'd think they'd be interested in money coming into the county?! I think they missed the boat. I plan to call them and try to make them understand what this is all about. The Tribune editor called and wants me to call and confirm my authorship of the letter I sent them. If you're going to write to them, keep it under 350 words. (I guess mine is a little long.) Anybody else hear anything on letters they sent? Kathy Londo Barnes Michigan __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
