Researchers, I have found this addl census info regarding my earlier post: 1850 W. Salem, Mercer Co, PA, fam 1209 Hugh BROWN, 40, PA, farmer Lavina, 34, PA Joseph, 10, PA Sarah, 8, PA Mary, 7, PA (my direct line of research/ aka "Mary Elizabeth") Hugh, 5, PA Lavina, 2, PA Lavina 38, PA Yes, there are three Lavina Brown listings - anyone know who they are and how they are related? And............ 1860 W. Salem, Mercer Co, PA, fam 666 Lavina BROWN, 38, PA, widow Joseph, 20, PA Sarah, 17, PA Elizabeth, 16, PA (aka "Mary Elizabeth") So, Hugh BROWN (b. ca 1810 PA) died between 1850 and 1860? Does anyone know death/burial info for this Hugh Brown? I note that Lavina has aged only four years from 1850 - 1860. I have found addl "Lavina Brown" listings in 1870 but they dont seem to fit the above family. Does anyone have 1870 census info for the 1850 and 1860 BROWN family noted above? Mary Elizabeth BROWN married John GAMBLE. I have no census info for either Mary or John in 1870; but they can be found in 1880 West Fallowfield, Crawford Co, PA, ED 99. Please forgive me if you receive this query twice - I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Sharon
Some members of this family are buried in Rocky Glen Cemetery, I believe.
