Sophronia's brother Charles is my line. I have had little luck finding Truman or Lydia. So, I thought that maybe tracing John B Sweet, Sophronia's husband back would help -- same last name, same area, etc. This summarizes what I have found/ been told. I have no real documented sources for most of this, just "facts" gathered here and there, from email, etc. Newberry C Sweet -- the C "probably stands" for Cloos/ Close, born ~1813. Had a brother Ambrose, and probably a sister Maria, who married David Cloos in 1833 ( 12 children). Their father was John (1769-1825) and their mother Achia LNU. Newberry C. married Eleanor Van Houghton. Also the Mormon search site yields: Husband's Name N. C. Theodore, Nubry M., and Evalena The web site http://www.livgenmi.com has some info on various of these guys My research on Truman's wife Lydia Sweet leads me to believe that her parents were Thomas and Lydia Brant Sweet. Their children were Frederick B, Lydia, Charles, Jude, Abner. Attached is a more coherent paper I wrote about what I know about Truman and Lydia. So my hope is that some of this is useful to you, and that maybe you have a link further back that can related the Newberry / John B Sweet family with the Thomas / Lydia Sweet family. Regards, Dave
