There is a Shumake buried at the Maple Grove Cem. in Rome Twp. There are Shumake, Fenton and Henderson buried at Union Cem. in Oil Creek Twp. I'm about 99% sure that Joseph and Mary (also listed as Polly) Fenton were Sarah's parents. They were also in Rome Twp. Joseph was born abt. 1802 in either NY or CT -- 1850 census says NY but other years say CT. And Mary was born abt. 1804 in NY. I'm not exactly sure how many children Joseph and Mary Fenton had but there are 7 listed on the 1850 census: daughters Julia, Sarah, Harriet and Marietta, and sons Minor, Alva and Joseph. Thank you for the information on the cemeteries. It sounds like a great lead and I will check into them!
