Just for the record, I volunteer every Monday at the Clay County Archives in Liberty, Missouri. We receive free rent from the city for the use of a former library but have to pay for all utilities. Our fee for use of the facilities is $5.00 a day or $15.00 for a years membership. Of course, copy work is additional. Most visitors seem to understand when we tell them we have to pay for all the utilities. And of course, there is always someone at the Archives to give help and assistance to our visitors.
