Thanks Bob- I found her in the 1860 census in Cussewago township - 14 year old daughter of Daniel McKay, a tailor born in Scotland, and (mother) Catharine born in NY. In 1870 she is a teacher, living with Robert Dennis, her future husband's uncle.
