    3. One of the other things to remember is you can be very creative using this index. For example: I was looking for my gg-grandmother's brother Albert VANOMMEN in New York State and couldn't find him. Since I knew he should be in Auburn, Cayuga County, NY, I entered that location and only his first-name Albert. I found him (and his wife and four daughters) indexed with the surname VANONEMEN. As an unexpected plus, I found 6-year-old Albert WHITE, who twenty years into the future was married to my grandmother's first cousin Bertha MARKS.
