He bought of James Allison part of the tract on which his son George now lives and spent the remaining days of his life upon it. George was born 2d June 1825. He was given a common school education. In 1845 he went west prospecting and was gone sixteen months. Upon his return he went to McGuffin's Falls and worked for Christopher Bolard in the flax seed-oil, saw and grist mill some years and finally went back to the farm and has followed farming as an occupation ever since. He has made sheep-growing a specialty, being the first to introduce in his region the Spanish Merino breed. In 1870 Mr. Watson Mr. Watson was elected County Commissioner by the Republicans of the county and served his tern. In 1870 he was appointed Mercantile Appraiser. He has also held all the important township offices. He married July 4, 1851 Miss Mary Berlin, daughter of Isral Berlin of Woodcock township. I think that's all of the Watsons!!
