First the locations that I have for the following is in Indiana, Co., Clarion Co., Crawford Co., and Armstrong Co., PA. There are possibility's that they lived in other counties as well. The time period that I have is abt 1798 to the mid to late 1800's. Members of these families ended up in Iowa. I believe the William Graham b. 1798 living in Armstrong Twp., Indiana Co., PA in 1850 may be the brother to my John Graham. Wm. at one time lived in Plum Creek, Armstrong Co., PA. My John was born in Armstrong Co. in 1805. Wm. m. Prudence Green Getty. They had children: Jane, Rachel, John, Abel D., William E., and Washington E. William was thought to have had a least 4 brothers: Erwin, Andrew, James, John. Now if we look at John Graham: John m. Mary Lopeman. they had children: Andrew, James Thomas, Sarah J., Mary A., Nancy A. Mary Lucinda, Polly Lavina, John B., William H., Elmira R., Carnelia E., and Chester E. I realize that these are for the most part common names. But.................... Looking at John's names they seem to follow a naming pattern in the order of birth. Hopefully the following won't be confusing. It is a naming pattern that I see in the John and Mary Lopeman Graham line. Andrew, Mary Lopeman's father (William had a brother Andrew, but we have to ignore this because of Mary's father's name) James Thomas could possibly be John's father Sarah J. could possibly be John's mother Mary A. - Mary Lopeman's mother Mary Johnston Nancy A. - Mary Lopeman's sister Mary Lucinda - possibly John's sister Polly Lavina - ? John B. - Mary Lopeman's brother William H. - possibly John's brother Elmira R. - Could this be Elmira Rachel? Cornelia E. - ? Chester E. - Is this possibly Chester Erwin - Wm's brother The question marks. They could have liked the names or they could be middle names of those that we don't have.
