I would appreciate it if anyone who has the Crawford Co History book would look up the name Clemens. I am researching John Clemens b 1790 Ilbesheim, Rhinepfatz, Germany, d1864 Meadville; he was m to Appollonia Schwerdtfeger, she was b1785 Germany, d 1870 Erie, PA. Their children were John, Friedrich, Nicholas, Henry, Peter and Margaret Jane. Peter m Christine Simons and is listed as a saloonkeeper in Summit Twp, Crawford Co in the 1860 census.
