It costs the library money (the amount depending on the usage) to have that available for their customers. If you are not a member of the library do not use it with out joining the library. Other people have done this to other libraries and those libraries have restricted the access to only the computers in the library which hurts a lot of their members because they can no longer access the web site from home. We do not need to steal time on other peoples facilities as this only gives us a bad name. If we don't pay our own way, because these web sites cost a lot of money, we will loose access to a lot more. That said you can join the Godfrey Memorial Library which has access for only 35.00 dollars a year. Go to http://www.godfrey.org/ and join. -- Robert Blair -- Robert Blair

    1. [PACRAWFO] James Brigance born: September 1765 in Pennsylvania; County & Township unknown
    2. Could someone help me with a church, birth or other lookup for the above person or surname. My dilemma is that supposedly he was born in PA but I have no idea where. Other Brigance members were supposedly born around 1740 in PA as well. At that time, there were only 4 counties: Lancaster, Chester, Philadelphia and Bucks. I have searched in Philadelphia and Lancaster but I wonder when the counties split if the information went with another county outside of the Philadelphia area. Thanks!!!!! 3. The Crawford Co. Historical Society has not had the e-mail address http://www.ccfls.org/historical since it moved out of the Meadville Public Library and disconnected from the Library computer system. ["ccfls" stands for Crawford Co. Federated Library System] Safest bet at present would be to write to CCHS at 411 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335. County courthouses, etc.
