    1. [PACRAWFO-L] Southwick
    2. Kathleen J. Smith
    3. I'm new to your list. I am looking for information on Ellen N. Southwick and (likely) her sister, Viola Southwick. Ellen is my great-great -grandmother. She married Lewis Smith in 1850. My great grandfather, Ladovia Smith, was born in Meadville, so I believe Ellen may have died there, sometime before 1860, when Lewis married Viola Southwick. Lewis was the son of Rev. Jedediah Smith. I am trying to determine Ellen and Viola's parents. The entire family came west about 1865 and settled in Deerfield, Michigan. Lewis had a three sisters, Mrs. Susan (Benjamin) Cannon, Mrs. Philinda (Leander) Bickford, and Mrs. Emeline (Steven) Bloomfield, and a brother, Eliot J. Smith. Rev. Jedediah was married to Lucy Morgan Smith when residing in Crawford County. Any information or help from PA "cousins" would be appreciated. Kathy Smith kathyjsmith@email.msn.com

I have it because I am a Lupher descendant and I have a lot of information on Luphers. As a matter of fact, Ilda Lupher Foust was something of a genealogist and some of what I have came (indirectly, I never met her) from her. If she worked on Foust, and I wouldn't be surprised, I don't have it. Let me know if you connect. Jan Patricia J. Pardun wrote: > > Hello, I am a new subscriber to your Crawford Co. list. 3. Al, I am on the Crawford Co list because I am searching for info on the Nichols and the Finks on my Husbands family. However you listed the name Buck in your listing and it caught my attention. My fathers ggrandmother was Mary E. Buck born Nov 2, 1828, died July 31, 1879, She was married to D. D. Grout in 1847. They were living in Cold Springs, Cattaraugus Co, NY in 1848 when my Ggrandmother was born. I have the dates, and I have a copy of the obituary. Only the dates are taken from the work my father had done several years ago. I do not know for sure where the Bucks or the Grouts lived. Is there a conection there? 3. Dear Diana, I wonder if there is a micro film from a Meadville paper in the 1830's? My wife's great great grandmother was Sarah Foust, born in Crawford County. She was the daughter of Adam Foust and Catherine Brown. Sarah married Peter Buck. Their children were Hester Buck b.11 Apr 1824, Henry Buck b.1824/1825, Mary Buck b.1826/1827, Elisabeth Buck b.1827/1829 Daniel Peter Buck b.21 Jun 1830 Sarah Foust Buck died after After Apr 1832 and before 1835. A death notice or an obituary would be a great help if there were a newspaper on micro film during that time span. Thank you, Al Fischer in WA state.
