    3. The only thing I see is a Jacob P Liephart (different spelling than you have) on page 152, the township is Woodcockboro, Jacob P Liephart, carpenter. There is no listing for Adam Leiphart, I'm sorry to say. 3. Dolores, Probably it was either the Directory of Crawford County, 1879-80 or the Gazetteer and Business Directory of Crawford County for 1874. If it was the Directory of Crawford County, 1879-80, may of the bios are online at the Crawford Co. USGenWeb site -- http://www.rootsweb.com/~pacrawfo and, we can add corrected info at the bottom of the page on each bio. I know it doesn't help with the original book, but at least it will be correct somewhere. 3. I have a book called " DIRECTORY OF CRAWFORD COUNTY, PA 1879-80" (sorry I can't underline) It is published by Closson Press, 1935 Sampson Drive, Apollo, PA 15613-9208, phone # 724-337-4482. I don't have any relatives that have Biographical Sketches, just names in the directory. I just got the book a few weeks ago. Is this the book you are referring to? 3. Hi Russell I have the James Gregory/Elizabeth Harrison marriage, but I don't have their kids recorded. Thanks for the marriage data for Orson--I didn't have that. I've just checked the 1850 census for James and Elizabeth Gregory and found them in Rome, both aged 57, both born in England. Living next door to them are Christopher Gregory aged 20 b. NY and Thomas Gregory aged 15 b. NY, and a name I don't recognize: James Argrons aged 64, b. in England. Next door to them were James Gregory, Jr. aged 27, stone cutter, $1000, b. in England, married to Caroline T. Gregory, 22, b. NY, and their daughter, T. E. Gregory, aged 1, b. NY. This is all on p. 262. In 1880, Christopher Gregory is listed as 60 years old, b. England, parents born in England, wife is Mary A. , 57 years old, and daughter Mary E. Gregory, 34 years old. Also living with them was William and Fred Skidmore, 13 and 11, listed as cousins. Next door was Doctor T. Gregory, a farmer, 47 years old, b. NY, parents born in England. His wife: Elizabeth, 48, b. New Jersey. Parents' birth location not given. Kids: James 23, Walter 18, Jane 13 (middle initial may be an I). Living with them was Elizabeth Gregory, aged 88, mother. They were all found on page 23, Centreville, Crawford Co. Looking down the page at the columns for parents' birthplaces, I see Catherine Hasbrouck, 33, b. PA, whose parents were b. in England, and she was the wife of Wm. D. Hasbrouck. Their kids were Hurburt 11 and May 7. (I don't know who Catherine belongs to.) There is the William Shaw family living next door, on that same page. They're all from England. Does anyone know anything about them? Did they arrive with the Harrisons? William is 65 and wife Jane is 64. Their kids listed with them are Sarah 36, Jane A. 31, and Martha 29, all b. PA. Ok, all for now. 3. Jan, my ancestor was Elizabeth (Harrison) Gregory, who married James Gregory. I also have an Orson Childs marrying Elizabeth A. Gregory, she was born 6/14/1858 and died 3/14/1925. Do you have any more on this family, where they lived or descendants that are living. Thanks. 1. [Crawf'rd] Corrected -- Spring Cemetery Request
    2. Dan Burrows
    3. OOPS -- wrong wife's name was mentioned in my first query David's wife was not Bestey Is there anyone going to Spring Cemetery soon that could take the readings from the stones of David and Roxanna (Cornell) WELCH or any children might be there. Now believe he is related to Martin Welch whose readings I have already obtained. The listing on the Crawford website did not include all the important information on the stones for Martin and his family and I hope the same will be true for David and wife. Thanks Dan Burrows Otisville NY
