For Darla-- Whenever you have time, what Peters family listings are in this directory? Many thanks--Pat Roberts
Darla Would you please check your book for any Leipharts (Liepharts) for Crawford. My ggg grandfather is Adam Leiphart & I believe he may have had a brother in the area named Samual. Thanks in advance for offering this look up. Deb
Do you all realize you can tap into the 1880 census for Crawford County through the LDS site, familysearch.org ? You will be able to learn who was in the household, who the neighbors were, etc. All you need is your ancestor's name. It's a really nice resource. Thanks so much Darla: When you have time (and I seriously mean don't push yourself!!!) I'd love whatever is listed -- you see, my grandfather was the son of two Watson parents -- in turn, his mother Sinia (Sina) was the daughter of two Watson parents -- The families moved back and forth between Crawford and Venango (Oilcreek Twp.) Counties -- by my figuring, I'm probably related to just about every Watson in those areas!!!!! Now I just have to straighten out who belongs to who!!!! Thank you so much for your time and trouble. If I can ever be of help (I live in Erie) please don't hesitate to ask. Hello, Darla -- Were there any BOLSTERs in 1879-1880 Crawford Co. Directory? Many Thanks. Sally (Bolster) Holcombe <[email protected]>
There were records kept at the county level between 1893 and 1905. Have you tried them for your ancestor? They are kept in the office of the Clerk of Courts at the Court House. Meadville obituary abstracts are available at the Crawford Co. Historical Society in Meadville. I do not know if there was a Conneaut Lake paper at that point. Bill Moore ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joyce Anthony" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 9:14 PM Subject: [Crawf'rd] Can anyone help? Obituary look-up > Hi listers -- I was wondering if anyone has ready access to newspaper obits in the Conneaut Lake are for the period of August 1899 to June 1900? I have several Watson families all mixed up together and can't find any information on my great-great grandfather, John Wesley Watson -- at this point, all I have is his name as the father of William R. Watson --His wife, Margaret Christine Watson, was listed as a widow on 1900 census -- when William was one month old, so I figure the death of John Wesley had to have ocurred between the above dates. I would be so greatful if someone could help me. Thank you!!! > Joyce > > > ==== PACRAWFO Mailing List ==== > ~~ The List GOLDEN RULE ~~ > Keep to genealogy, history, anything ancestor!
