Hello again! Briefly, here are the lines I'm researching in Columbia County. Philip A. STROUP/STRAUB was born 1835 in Schuylkill County, PA. His mother's name was Catharine and his father's was possibly Jonathan (died around 1845?). I believe they moved to Mt. Pleasant Twp around 1840. Philip's siblings were Elizabeth (b 1830), Jacob (b 1832), Mary (b 1837), Christiann (b 1839), David (b 1841), and Jonathan (b 1844). Philip married Julia Ann WEISER in 1860. Julia was born in 1829 but I know nothing else about her before her marriage. They lived briefly in Mt. Pleasant Twp then moved to Hemlock Twp where they lived until Julia's death in 1898. Philip moved to Berwick shortly after that and died there in 1914. Philip and Julia had the following children: Anna Rebecca (b 1863), Mary (b 1864), Amelia (b 1866), David (b 1867), and William Herve (b 1870). Jacob BOMBOY was born 1787 in Rockland Twp, Berks, PA. In 1808 he married Elizabeth A. BAUER who was born 1790 in Bloomsburg. They lived in various places in Columbia County including Hemlock Twp, Centre Twp, and Mifflinville. They had at least 10 children and the oldest was Justina Christina Chesty who was born in 1809 somewhere in Columbia County. Justina married Joseph WEISE (born 1805 in Columbia County) in 1830 in Centre Twp. They also lived in at least Madison Twp and Hemlock Twp. They had 10 children - the ninth was Angelina Elizabeth born in 1846 of Centre Twp. Angelina married Jacob ANDES (born 1840 in Germany) in Columbia County in 1864. They lived mostly in Hemlock Twp. They had 8 children - the fourth was Phoebe Johnston who was born in 1873 in Buckhorn. She married William Herve STROUP in 1891 in Espy. William Herve and Phoebe had 6 children and moved to Phelps County, Nebraska around 1903 and then shortly after that moved to Gregory County, South Dakota.
