    3. I hope someone can help me on this question. I recently bought a Family Tree Maker Census Record for 1850 - Pennsylvania (this means, Linda, that someone else is available for look-ups and you won't be stuck doing them all). I read in the booklet that I could open the Archive either by using my FTM software or by using their FTM Archive program. Well, I am here to tell you that neither version 7.0 or 3.01 of the FTM software will open these blessed things. I understand that the Archive reader is bundled with some FTM archives but I can't find it on their web site as a stand-alone program. Doe anyone know where I can buy software to read this Archive? Thanks Pete Hubicki

    3. I have a couple of those census sets too. I can use them just fine in my FTM. I can't remember now if I had gotten the ver. 8 Upgrade with the first one or second one though. This is what I do: Find the button you use to go to the family finder index cds, or ssdi cds that came with the initial system. It looks like a cd with a magnifying glass[Family Finder (view cd). Have one of the census disks in you cd rom drive, then click the button. It should open it up. They show a box that says what family archive cd it is, click ok. You Should be in. Hope this works for you.
