I am searching for background on a David Wellever who was born in Moreland, PA, in 1822. Another report states that he was born the same year, but in Muncie, PA. For either of these locations, where would I look for documents on his birth, parents, etc?? I looked for Moreland on a current Atlas, & also in a zip code book, which rarely fails me, but Moreland does not exist. Any & all advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!! Moreland is a township in Lycoming County I have seen Moreland listed on some old maps but there is a section in Moreland Twp. known as Moreland there are two churches in the Twp. called Moreland (Moreland Baptist & Moreland Community) as for Muncie it is now spelled Muncy and is about 3 miles from the Moreland Twp. or Moreland area of which you are speaking. You need to be looking in Lycoming Co for your info James V.
