I am looking for an address for the administration of this cemetery. Does anyone know who maintains and oversees this cemetery? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Gladys Martz PS This is also called St. Peter's Union Cemetery or the Housenick (sp?) Cemetery.
Is not the Briar Creek Union Cemetery also the Hidlay Cemetery, next to Hidlay Church? I would be really interested in getting information on all burials there prior to 1810. My ancestor, Conrad Adams was a trustee when the Hidlay Church was first established. It is my understanding that he is probably one of the first burials in that cemetery. The writing on those old stones from that far back have long since faded. Is there anyone who might have records showing those very old burials? I feel certain his tombstone is one of those old stones in the first or second row next to the church. Conrad Adams died in 1801. I have seen the cemetery indexing and that doesn't help, as all that are listed are those with readable headstones. There is a Conrad Adams tombstone that can be read in that cemetery, but that is his grandson. -----Original Message----- From: Gem9224@aol.com [mailto:Gem9224@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2002 6:34 AM To: PACOLUMB-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Briar Creek Union Cemetery I am looking for an address for the administration of this cemetery.
