Thanks to all who have given me info on find my William ECKERD/ECKARD. I found out today, that he was listed as being a SURVIVING brother in his brother Harry's obit. Harry died in Feb 1944. William ECKERD/ECKARD and Bertha Laura ADELMAN must have been divorced around 1908. Laura listed herself as "widowed" in the 1910 census apparently to save face. Harry's obit says that he was born and reared in Almedia, and that William is from Millville. It also spells the last name as ECKARD. Now, how do I go about finding out their divorce date and information?
