I'm new to the list and am wondering if there are any members who are researching the HAUER/HOWER line. Hans Michll Hower arrived in Philadelphia in 1737 and established a farm, in Berks County, by the early 1840s. My wife descends from his son Michael. His grandson, another Michael (1751-1824), is buried at the Union Cemetery, in Catawissa. Some of his children moved on to Numidia and beyond. Other surnames, that are connected and were or might have been in Columbia County, are: RHOADES/RHODES, KERN, OLWINE and FAUST. Thanks for any help. Bob Thompson Ps. Sorry if this is a double post.
