    1. I will take tombstone pictures
    2. Hi All, I do not know if this type of posting is allowed on the list. If not, I apologoze to everyone in advance and I will not post anything like it again. If it is allowed, here goes. In response to a few e-mails I posted about a couple of Luzerne County cemeteries, I have received a several e-mails asking me to walk cemeteries and take pictures of stones. These requests came after e-mails back and forth as I mentioned I take pictures of stone, which I believe a lot of people do, to document my information, and in conversation I have been asked to take pictures for them. No problem. I was happy to do so, but I guess by word of mouth I have been getting numerous requests (6 different surnames this weekend alone). I did not realize how many people out there are not in the area and want pictures of their ancestors stones. I am now getting requests for cemeteries that I do not even have family in. I am still more than happy to help if I can, as many others have been very helpful in trading information with me, but the time I am spending walking through cemeteries looking for the families of others has been more than I ever thought it would be. As I am spending so much of my free time walking cemeteries at this point because I do not want to say no to anyone. I know how exciting it is to fill in some missing information or add a somewhat undisputable source to the information you already have. I think I have come up with a solution that should make everyone happy. This is the part that I am not sure will be allowed on the list: If I charge a small fee, it will help to offset my time and gas. In return I will not only take pictures of the names you request but any other stones that I find in that cemetery with the same surname as it may be helpful somewhere down the road. I will send them via e-mail. This is what I figure: $5.00 per cemetery that I am familiar with that I can find the stones right away. $10.00 per cemetery that I do not know and have to spend a bit of time walking through. $15.00 per cemetery that are VERY large (mainly city cemeteries) as it takes quite a while to walk these, especially if I am not famliar with them 1. I will not charge ahead of time, only after the pictures are taken and have been sent to you. I believe that most researchers are honest, besides, stiffing me now means no more help in the future. 2. I have a digital camera so there will be no charge for the pictures. 3. You can request several surnames per cemetery at no charge. Like I said, I only wish to offset my time and gas, and in doing so I may be able to help many others out there find some missing links. 3. Let me know what names you want and what cemetery they are in and I will see what I can do for you. Since I will be doing this after work and during some weekend time, I will take requests in the order they come in and as I can get to them, as I think this is going to open me up to a flood of requests. Please be patient. Again, if this type of e-mail is frowned upon, my apologies. I would like to take this oppurtunity to THANK everyone who has responded to and traded information with me. Good luck and happy hunting!!!!!
