Dear Folks: Does anyone know if the 1840 census is indexed? Specifically I am looking for one Charles FREY (or FRY) who would have been about age 26 in 1840 and living in Catawissa Township or possibly in Berwick. There is a possibility that his name was spelled Carl FREY or Karl FREY. He married Anna Margaret Hartzel in 1840 and then moved to Nescopeck, Luzerne County.
