Hi I am researching the surname BEACHAM and any derivative of that name. I have seen it many different ways..BEECHAM, BEACHIM, BEECHUM, BEACHMAN, etc. The original name was Beauchamp. There were several BEACHAM families in the Montour, Columbia, Northumberland, and Schuykill Counties in the mid 1800's. I am trying to piece together these families to find a common bond, if there is one, and to find descendants of any of these families who are doing genealogical research. My BEACHAM ancestor was James BEACHAM who lived in Point Township in Northumberland Co. Several of his children were born in Danville, PA in the early 1840's, so they may have lived in that area first. I recently found on a cemetery record that a brother (William) to my James Beacham b. ca. 1804 was born in Somersetshire ENG March 1805. William BEACHAM was married to Maria and lived in Danville, PA until his death. I am assuming that "my" James was also born in Somersetshire, ENG. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Donna
