There was a BODINE family that lived in Columbia Co. PA near Jerseytown. Most of the children married into other Jerseytown area families. I do not know who the parents are. The children were born between about 1780 to 1795. They may have been born in New Jersey and moved to Columbia Co., PA around 1800. The children's names are Abraham (married TAYLOR), Amy (married BEST), Ruth (married WATSON), Nicholas (these four took up land in 1811 in Ontario) Catherine and Rachel (both married GIRTON men and stayed in the area), Peter was probably one of the younger ones, married, VOUGHT, stayed in Columbia. I think there were several other female children who married KITCHEN and WELLIVER. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows anything about this BODINE family in the Jerseytown/Danville area. I am in Hawaii so it is difficult to look up cemetery records, census, etc. that is not on the internet, so all lookups will be greatly appreciated. I am trying to find the name of the parents. They would have been born abt. 1750-1760 and may be buried in one of the area cemeteries. There are lots of Bodine families in other areas of PA like Greene co. and York co. but these are not the right ones. Joan Best
