Hi Doug and Linda; I, too am researching the STROUP/STRAUB line AND the BOMBOY's. I am specifically trying to connect Leah STROUP/STRAUB b.@1805 m. George WERTMAN b.@1800. They lived and died in Cooper Mtn., Montour co., PA. They had; Abbey, Enos, William, Caroline, John, Joseph, Daniel, Barbara. Their son, Daniel WERTMAN was orphaned at age 9 when his father, George WERTMAN died and he went to MI. As near as I can 'guess' at this time, he must have gone with the STROUP/STRAUB migration to MI. I find him there in 1868 when his son, my g-grandfather was born, George William WERTMAN. George William WERTMAN m. Bertha Rilla WELLIVER whose aunt was Susan Jane BETZ who m. Leonard BOMBOY, s/o Benjamin and Sarah Ann "Sallie" (WAGNER) BOMBOY. (Whew! they sure intermarried a lot back then!) Anyway, I would appreciate ANY information on the above...they are 'recent' finds for me and I don't know very much more than what I have here.
