    2. Dear Karen, Perhaps you have already received an educated reply to your question. In case you haven't here's my 2 cents worth. That notation, sometimes abbreviated as Lev. Fa., as a legal term used in executions. Now, before you think someone lost their head, an execution in this instance has to do with a judgment--a lawsuit that involved money or property to satisfy a debt or obligation. My guess is that someone was owed money and a sheriff's sale of real estate followed. Assuming the courthouse retained their execution papers, they should still have a copy of the legal action. I am not an attorney, but I used to work at Allegheny County Office of Records Administration and we filed thousands of these execution documents and this is more or less the explanation we were given. The term, Lev. Fa., is considered obsolete. Hope this helps. Luanne Rishel Eisler
