Looking for parents of both Thomas PADEN (Padden) b @1798 and his wife Elizabeth MARR b @1802. Thomas probably had brothers John & Simon. Also possibly William was a brother or father. Thomas supposedly was born in Lancaster Co. and was in Columbia Co. early 1800's. Settled in Luzerne Co. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Try it today - there's no risk! Hello, I'm still looking for the right Jacob HUBER who married Maria Magdalena HINKEL (also known as Motelina or Matlena). Matlena died in 1819, Mifflin Twp, Columbia, and Jacob HUBER was the administrator of her estate. Was this Jacob her son or her husband? Who were the parents of her husband, Jacob HUBER? I'm looking at Montgomery County families, because Johan Lenhart HINKEL and Maria Elizabeth ZIEGENFUSS are the likely parents of Maria Magdalena HINKEL. Also in Montgomery Co John Michael HUBER and Barbara LAHR had a son Jacob (b. 1761). Did he marry Maria Magdalena HINKEL? Is anyone researching this line? Any leads will be appreciated! Judith Huber Halseth Michigan

Greetings, This will be the last post that I will make for a long time, as I am drained from doing this project. On my site I have compiled the following information in my "All Things Section" of my site located at: http://www.geocities.com/geojenk Be patient as I have a lot of great stuff packed on the pages till I can tweak them for faster loading. Detailed History of McKeesport, Pa Genealogy and Biographies of Early McKeesporters (These are very detailed genealogical biographies on close to 400 individuals that immigrated to McKeesport from other countries/states.) Pictures and Biographies of Prominent Early McKeesporters (Part of above) Western Pennsylvania Family Group Genealogies (Genealogical Biographies on close to 400 family groups that lived in Western Pa. Please remember these sources of info are not related to my family research efforts. I have done this project with the intention of sharing the info. I get no financial gain from this effort as my site sells absolutely nothing. Good Luck!!! Hi Doug and Linda; I, too am researching the STROUP/STRAUB line AND the BOMBOY's. I am specifically trying to connect Leah STROUP/STRAUB b.@1805 m. George WERTMAN b.@1800. They lived and died in Cooper Mtn., Montour co., PA. They had; Abbey, Enos, William, Caroline, John, Joseph, Daniel, Barbara. Their son, Daniel WERTMAN was orphaned at age 9 when his father, George WERTMAN died and he went to MI. As near as I can 'guess' at this time, he must have gone with the STROUP/STRAUB migration to MI. I find him there in 1868 when his son, my g-grandfather was born, George William WERTMAN. George William WERTMAN m. Bertha Rilla WELLIVER whose aunt was Susan Jane BETZ who m. Leonard BOMBOY, s/o Benjamin and Sarah Ann "Sallie" (WAGNER) BOMBOY. (Whew! they sure intermarried a lot back then!) Anyway, I would appreciate ANY information on the above...they are 'recent' finds for me and I don't know very much more than what I have here. Is anyone else researching the FUNSTON's? Does anyone know who the 10 children John and Mary (ATEN)FUNSTON had? I only have 5; Thomas, Jesse, Henry, Mary, Sarah. John and Mary are my 5th gr-grandparents. "John FUNSTON settled on and purchased a tract of land soon after the Revolutionary war, near where Jerseytown has since been built, and there opened one of the first stores in the county, beginning with a limited stock of goods and a limited trade in a very sparsely settled region. By dint of energy, however, the business was successfully continued there and in Jerseytown by himself and sons for many years. John FUNSTON died December 6, 1844, on one of his farms near Jerseytown at the advanced age of ninety-two years, closely identified with the church and after having lived a respected and useful life, having held the office of justice of the peace and many positions of trust and honor in his locality. His wife, formerly Mary ATEN, died November 22, 1838, aged seventy-five years, the mother of ten children" (the above from Battle) Doneva Shepard in OR
