    1. Henry Fisher
    2. Debbie Fisher
    3. Hi, I am new to the list and am looking for information on Henry Fisher. All I know about Henry is that he was born 5/10/1801 in Berks County. He left home and no one knew what happened to him. A Berks County newsletter stated that he may have married and moved to Columbia County, where he raised a large family. I am a descendent of Henry Fisher, and I am trying to determine if this is my Henry Fisher. I would love to hear from anyone who has information on this Henry Fisher or any of his descendents. Thank you, Debbie Fisher Huntingdon Co., PA

    2. Bill & Kay Winter
    3. Is not the Briar Creek Union Cemetery also the Hidlay Cemetery, next to Hidlay Church? I would be really interested in getting information on all burials there prior to 1810. My ancestor, Conrad Adams was a trustee when the Hidlay Church was first established. It is my understanding that he is probably one of the first burials in that cemetery. The writing on those old stones from that far back have long since faded. Is there anyone who might have records showing those very old burials? I feel certain his tombstone is one of those old stones in the first or second row next to the church. Conrad Adams died in 1801. I have seen the cemetery indexing and that doesn't help, as all that are listed are those with readable headstones. There is a Conrad Adams tombstone that can be read in that cemetery, but that is his grandson. -----Original Message----- From: Gem9224@aol.com [mailto:Gem9224@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2002 6:34 AM To: PACOLUMB-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Briar Creek Union Cemetery I am looking for an address for the administration of this cemetery. 3. Dear list, I know this is the wrong county but my relative moved from Danville to Berwick so yours may have to. Also if some one is on the Montour list please copy this message to their list as I am not on it and would like to make them the offer as well. I have recently obtained an old family album which has many unfortunately unlabeled pictures but it has one gem. It has a group picture of the 1896 Sunday School class of Saint Johns in Danville ( I assume Danville as this is the photographer address the Church address is not given ) under Rev. E.B. Dunn. ( By the way any one know any thing about St Johns I would love to contact them re old church records) The teacher is C. Balliet ( one of my relatives) and there are 14 children. The children are listed but not individually identified although I can eliminate 2 of the 4 girls and one of the 10 boys as known relatives. If you see a name on this list that catches your eye and would like a scanned copy please E-Mail me privately and I ! will be glad to send it to you. The children are: Ruth Shultz, Hattie Wintersteen, Annie Mc Cormic, Florence Schultz, Charles Hendershot, Percy Gresh, Chester Balliet, Charles Young, Warren Gresh, Cleophes Cromley, Roy Shultz, Thomas Howk, Miles Shultz, Guy Mc Nineh. I've recently resubscribed to the list and need some help. I am trying to find out more about my grandfathers Ethel ATKINSON, born in Pennsylvania 12 June 1895. Ethel ATKINSON married Edward KEHR who was believed to be much older than she was. My grandfather James William ATKINSON and his brother Harold both worked at Magee Carpet Company in Bloomsburg, Columbia County PA. I have been told at some point MAGEE CARPET was bought by a KEHR (KERR) family and renamed KEHR MAGEE. Would anyone on the list be able to confirm this for me? 3. Seeking info about Jacob and Catherine Huber in PA. They may have been born about 1797. Erroneous data may have been linked with Jacob and Catherine, and I'm trying to locate documentation on which Jacob Huber and which Catherine belong to this set of children. Jacob and Catherine were parents of George Nelson Huber (1822 - 1876), who married Frena (Fanny) Riegel (daughter of Daniel Riegel) 1841 in Catawissa (Columbia), and who moved to Marcellus (Cass) MI; Lydia Huber who married George Lawrence; and Jacob Huber. The name Catherine Drum/Drumm has been linked with Jacob Huber, as well as Matlena Kinkle/Hinckel/Kunckel, d. 1819 Mifflin Twp (Columbia). Any help in breaking through this brick wall will be appreciated. Judith Huber Halseth
